.99 cent Eggplants « Thread Started on Aug 20, 2007, 9:44pm »
Who would have thought that my 99 cent Eggplant seedlings for the discount store would have lived let alone fruited....but it did! I have never had good luck with Eggplants, but these were fantastic...out of 4 plants I have harvested 6 Eggplants, 3 that were about cantaloupe sized and 3 that were about softball sized.I saved some seeds for next season....I hope they are as happy in trhe garden next season as they were this season. Everybody is getting eggplant parmigiana this week.
Since then I harvest 1 more eggplant. But the kicker is, I just went out and found one more large eggplant, and 3 egg sized ones on those plants. they just arent going down with the seaon....glad I saved some seeds, now lets hope they breed true!!
